[Lumiera] lua scripting and lumiera

After I sent off my message, I saw a speed comparison between Lua and Ruby, and it looks like Lua is 30x faster than Ruby... and speed is everything when it comes to doing video edits (along w/memory footprint)

yes, to answer this question directly, we did. Personally, I'm
quite a fan of python, and as Cehteh said, binding to python won't
be a problem and probably this will happen sooner or later :-)

Just, when considering a "default scripting language", we can't
overlook the memory footprint and the general performance of
the "beast". And basically, we're better off using our RAM
for video frames.
