the testsuite improved over time and is not exactly like described there
(but close enough), If anyone wants to document it more properly, just
go on, that means take a look at the source and ask me, i can write down
a rough draft for it.

The testsuite script itself is developed together with nobug, and used
there too. The rationale to do that there is because nobug is much
smaller and easier to maintain, changes are less invasive there and it
fits better to develop it there too. Everytime some substantial
improvement (maybe even incompatible syntax changes, its not completely
stabilized yet) are done, it is copied over to lumiera and the tests are
 improved/fixed for this new features. Last time this happend in
january/february when i added regex support to the testsuite. Odin then
integrated it into lumiera, and i merged that 2 days ago into the
lumiera mainline (sorry, took a little too long). There are still plenty
things to improve and if anyone has more ideas i'd be happy to integrate
them. Just help with it!
