[Lumiera] Floss weekly

I too heard about lumiera on FLOSS weekly, and at one point in the past I
tried to work on Jashaka but was frustrated on the difficulty I had building
the project as well as getting help on doing so.
I found a guide for Newbies and it is pretty good, and I got nobug to build,
but recent changes to the libraries have broken the howto related to the gdl
libs, I'm trying to figure out how to fix this myself, and don't want to
burden anyone that knows how, but if someone does maybe the newb doc could
be updated? (which at this point I'm having trouble finding since I'm not on
my work computer where I book marked it, would be nice if there was a link
off the developer page on lumiera.org)

Also, it would be nice if the buildbot (I think thats what you call it)
could create a install so that changes can be tried without having to build
from source.

Not sure how much I can help, but I'll try.

I've been using (and scripting with) Sony Vegas for years, and I have a Sony
Z1U and HC1 cam (I assume others have easy access to m2t files, but if not I
could put some on-line).  Most of my coding experience is on embedded PIC's
and PC (Windows) software to communicate with the devices I've created, I've
was a sysadmin for IRIX/HP-UX and Linux 1.0 (it took 7 days to download on
to a bunch of floppies with a dial up connection) many years ago, and I've
been looking for an oss project to contribute too and this one seems like it
has some momentum, I also wanted to working on something that uses git to
help with my git chops.
