[Lumiera] testsuite development, any volunteer?

the 18-17 was a problem with sigc++ compatibility on Ubuntu Hardy, your
problems ftruncate are Intrepid problems - same as me. Anyway, I just
pushed fixes to both problems to LUMIERA master. If you do a "git pull",
that should pull in my fixes.

It works fine for me once that's done!

With these patches applied, I only need to apply 1 manual fix to the
source code to make it work: removing the sync files from that
Makefile.am we were talking about before.
